Bangkok Basil is a family-owned restaurant serving authentic, home-style Thai food. We use trusted, age-old recipes that started in our grandmother’s modest, coal-fueled kitchen in Bangkok, Thailand. Using only fresh, high quality ingredients, all dishes are made to order and prepared with great care. Our family welcomes you to dine with us in our comfortable, intimate restaurant.
Our storyThe story of Bangkok Basil began long before the grand opening in November 2011. The restaurant started many years ago when owner and cook, Anna said “I do” to her food loving husband, Ron. After joining the family Anna was privy to Ron’s family recipes and began the 3 decade long process of mastering them. The two spent the early years of their marriage running a popular noodle restaurant adjacent to their home in Bangkok, Thailand. In the chase for the American dream, the couple immigrated to the US after their first daughter was born in 1986. It was only after 25 years of painstakingly adapting the family’s favorite dishes that Anna decided she wanted to share them with her community. It was then that the couple decided to open their first restaurant in nearly 3 decades.
